Muslim Observe Marhaba Ramadan To Usher In The Holy Month Of Ramadam

Ghanaian Muslim community, on Sunday 23rd February 2025,observed Marhaba Ramadan to usher in the holy month of Ramadan at the National Mosque of Ghana.
Marhaba Ramadan 2025 saw over 1000 students expressing their readiness and their eagerness to partake in this year’s Ramadan.
Ramadan is the 9th month of the Islamic calendar. It is considered the holy month and is when Muslims believe the Quran was revealed to prophet Muhammad.
Speaking to the media,Alhaji Jabir Kango. deputy administrator, National Mosque of Ghana, said Marhaba Ramadan is to create awareness and also show appreciation to prophet Muhammad for his guidance and protection for the country.
He urged all Muslims to ensure they maintain the peace they are enjoying within the Muslims community,adding they must also practice personal hygiene to clear the perception of some Ghanaians about the environment in the Zongo’s .
Ayuba Isma-il Umar,Jil Alquran Supervisor, admonished that the holy month of Ramadan is used to seek for forgiveness from prophet Muhammad.
According to him,the holy Quran direct Muslims to leave in harmony with one another and therefore bestowed on Muslims not to fight to the period of Ramadan.
He added that the month of Ramadan is used to redirect once path from evil deeds and focus towards heaven.
