Kurt E.S. Okraku to Lead WAFU B Meeting and Express Support for Dr. Motsepe’s Re-election Bid

Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku, President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), will preside over a key meeting of Presidents and General Secretaries from the seven member associations of West Africa Zone B in Cairo, Egypt, on Monday, March 10, 2025.

This Zonal meeting is the first significant event leading up to the Confederation of African Football (CAF) Extraordinary General Assembly, scheduled for March 12, 2025, at the Marriott Mena House. CAF President Dr. Patrice Motsepe and General Secretary Véron Mosengo-Omba will be present as special guests for the gathering. The meeting will commence at 10:00 AM Cairo time (08:00 GMT).

The primary focus of the meeting will be on strengthening football development across the West Africa Zone B region and reaffirming support for Dr. Patrice Motsepe’s bid for re-election as CAF President. This gathering presents an important opportunity for the member associations to discuss the future of football in the region and explore ways to enhance collaboration for growth.
