WAFU B Sets New Date for U-20 Africa Cup of Nations

The West African Football Union B (WAFU B) has announced revised dates for the inaugural U-20 Cup of Nations, now set to take place in Accra in 2025. Originally planned for June 15-30, 2025, in Prampram, the tournament was postponed to allow for optimal preparations and conditions.
The championship will feature competition exclusively among WAFU B member countries.
“We wish to inform all stakeholders that the WAFU B U-20 Boys’ Cup will now be held from Thursday, July 10 to Wednesday, July 23, 2025, in Accra, Ghana,” the WAFU B Secretariat stated.
The new schedule has been chosen to facilitate the smooth organization of the tournament, following necessary adjustments after the postponement affecting both WAFU A and B U-20 Boys’ Cups. The Secretariat emphasized their commitment to delivering the best experience possible for all seven member associations participating.
The nations set to compete include host Ghana, Nigeria, Côte d’Ivoire, Niger, Burkina Faso, Togo, and Benin.
