“Orange Inspire Masterclass by Fidelity Bank Nurtures Next-Gen Creative Business Leaders”

Fidelity Bank

Fidelity Bank Ghana, in collaboration with Jambo Spaces, has launched a bold new step in championing the creative sector with the successful hosting of its first-ever Orange Inspire Masterclass and the closing ceremony of its Creative Challenge Incubator. Held on August 15, 2025, at the ALX E-Hub in Accra, the event attracted over 100 creatives, entrepreneurs, and industry professionals eager to celebrate innovation and unlock new possibilities within Ghana’s growing creative economy.

The Orange Inspire initiative is part of Fidelity Bank’s Young Entrepreneurs Initiative (FYEI), a broader strategy to foster entrepreneurship, especially among the youth, by providing targeted support to the creative sector—often referred to as the “Orange Economy.” The programme is designed to nurture a new generation of creative business leaders by equipping them with relevant skills, mentorship, and access to funding opportunities.

Out of over 470 applicants, 24 exceptional creatives were selected for a months-long incubation programme, where they received personalized mentorship, business development support, brand positioning training, and guidance on entering and scaling in the market. The incubator aimed to refine their business ideas and prepare them for real-world competition and investment.

The climax of the incubation journey was a three-hour Orange Inspire Masterclass, which opened its doors to a wider audience, offering attendees valuable insights and practical advice from some of Ghana’s most influential figures in the creative and business spaces.

Speakers at the masterclass included poet and media personality Apiorkor S. Ashong-Abbey, award-winning video director and creative consultant Nana Kofi Asihene, business strategist Patty The Strategist, Stephen Adomko of ALX Ventures, and Bernard Kafui Sokpe, Co-founder of Jambo Spaces. Their interactive sessions explored key themes such as creative monetisation, brand identity, and positioning for success in a rapidly evolving global creator economy.

Addressing participants, Nana Yaa Afriyie Ofori-Koree, Head of Partnerships, Sustainability and CSR at Fidelity Bank, emphasized the bank’s strong commitment to supporting young entrepreneurs and promoting inclusive economic growth.

“The Orange Inspire programme reflects Fidelity Bank’s long-term vision of empowering youth through innovation. Our investment in the creative sector stems from a belief that young people, equipped with the right resources, can drive transformational change for Ghana’s economy,” she said.

She added that through the Fidelity Young Entrepreneurs Initiative, the bank has created a dedicated fund to support creative industries with access to capital, training, and market exposure.

Delivering the keynote address, Dr. Tahidu Damba, Secretary-General of the Ghana Commission for UNESCO, praised Fidelity Bank for pioneering a platform that not only nurtures talent but also contributes to national development.

“This initiative is a clear demonstration of how the creative industry is emerging as a central pillar of Ghana’s economic and cultural identity. We are witnessing the rise of entrepreneurs who are also cultural ambassadors, building businesses that reflect our heritage while competing globally,” he stated.

Dr. Damba also noted that the creative sector has a critical role to play in Ghana’s 24-hour economy agenda, offering innovative, culturally relevant solutions and creating new avenues for employment and value creation.

The momentum will continue as the 24 incubated participants prepare for a high-stakes pitch session on August 27, 2025, during Fidelity Bank’s upcoming Sustainability Conference. Five finalists will be chosen to receive part of a GH¢450,000 funding package to bring their creative ventures to life.

Nana Yaa Afriyie Ofori-Koree expressed excitement ahead of the final stage:

“We look forward to seeing the bold ideas and passion these young entrepreneurs will bring to the pitch room. This is more than financial support—it’s an opportunity to spotlight visionary talent and empower the future leaders of Ghana’s creative economy.”

With the Orange Inspire programme gaining momentum, Fidelity Bank continues to position itself as a catalyst for innovation, inclusion, and economic transformation through creativity.
