Ghanaian football icon, Andre Ayew, has offered valuable advice to young African footballers, urging them to stay determined and not give up on their aspirations, regardless of the hurdles they encounter.

Speaking to BBC Sport Africa, the Black Stars captain emphasized that success is attainable through hard work and discipline. “It’s never too early or too late. Just keep moving forward, and success will follow,” Ayew shared, encouraging young players to remain focused on their goals.

At 35, Ayew continues to perform at a high level with his club, Le Havre, where he has scored three goals in the French Ligue 1 this season, including one against his former team, Olympique Marseille. Despite his years in the game, Ayew expressed his ongoing love for football and his commitment to continue playing. “I’m passionate about what I do, and I’m not ready to stop,” he stated.

With Ghana preparing for their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers in March, where they will face Chad and Madagascar, there’s a possibility that Ayew could make a return to the national team after a year-long absence. This would be a significant comeback for the veteran forward, who remains an influential figure in Ghanaian football.
