Angry Thugs Set Fire to Damongo EC Office, Resulting in One Death

Violence broke out at the Damongo constituency collation center after a group of unidentified individuals stormed the premises, demanding the swift declaration of election results. In their frustration over the delay, the attackers set the Electoral Commission’s office on fire.
In an effort to control the escalating situation, security personnel fired warning shots. Unfortunately, one person was fatally shot, while two others were injured and are currently being treated at St. Anne’s Hospital in Damongo.
The fire destroyed crucial electoral materials, leading to the abrupt suspension of the collation process. The incident has resulted in increased tension within the community as residents react to this unfortunate and violent development.
