Black Queens Begin Training Camp in Abidjan Ahead of Friendly Match Against Côte d’Ivoire

The Black Queens kicked off preparations for their upcoming international friendly with Côte d’Ivoire by holding their first training session at the iconic Stade Félix Houphouët-Boigny in Abidjan on Thursday evening.
Led by Head Coach Kim Lars Björkegren, the session marked the team’s first workout since arriving in the Ivorian capital on Wednesday. The coach expressed satisfaction with the performance and energy of the players, noting their sharpness despite just settling in.
“It was a solid start. The energy and focus during today’s session were excellent,” Björkegren commented. “Considering it’s our first training since arriving, I’m quite impressed with the players’ intensity and overall attitude.”
The friendly match between Ghana and Côte d’Ivoire is scheduled for Friday, May 30, with kickoff set for 19:00 GMT. The match is part of the Black Queens’ ongoing preparations for upcoming international assignments and serves as a valuable opportunity to test new strategies and build team cohesion.
