Celestine Donkor’s Celestial Praiz 11 Set for March 9

Ghanaian gospel singer Celestine Donkor is making a triumphant return with the 11th edition of her highly anticipated annual concert, Celestial Praiz, after taking a break last year. The event will take place on March 9, 2025, at the Dominion Sanctuary of Victory Bible Church in Awoshie, Accra.

This year’s edition, themed I Do a New Thing, is set to be an exciting and dynamic celebration of gospel music ministry. The theme draws inspiration from Isaiah 43:19: “Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.”

Celestine Donkor is committed to refocusing Celestial Praiz on empowering church music. As part of her efforts to connect church choirs with the Celestine Donkor Music Ministry and brand, the 2025 edition will feature two Intimate Worship Time sessions for singers ahead of the main event. These sessions will give selected choir groups the opportunity to minister at the concert in March.

Additionally, Celestine Donkor has introduced the Campus Gospel with Celestine Donkor initiative, designed to make gospel music more appealing to younger audiences. The first edition of this initiative was held on January 31, 2025, at the Crown and Glory School in Gbaweh. This program will continue with the support of Celestine Donkor Ministries and its partners.

Along with Celestine Donkor as the headline artist, the event will showcase performances by her newly formed gospel music group, Celestial Breed. The group, consisting of her backing vocalists for over a decade, recently released their debut single, “You’re Amazing.”

Celestial Praiz 2025 will also feature international and local gospel talents, including Minister GUC from Nigeria, Zaza Mokhathi from South Africa, Ps Edwin Dadson, Kwaku Teye, and others.
