Drivers And Residents Of Akyerensua And Ntotoroso Call On Government To Fix Broken River Tano Bridge

Residents of Acherensua and Ntotoroso in the Asutifi South District of the Ahafo Region are urgently calling on the government to repair the dilapidated River Tano bridge, which connects the two communities. The current state of the bridge has become a major concern for both drivers and passengers.
The deteriorated bridge is making taxi operations unprofitable and endangering lives, turning what should be a vital transport route into a death trap.
To add to the frustration, a promise made by the previous government to complete the bridge within six months has not been fulfilled. As a result, vehicles are forced to take longer routes, leading to increased transportation costs for already burdened passengers.
Drivers and residents are appealing to Hon. Agbodza and the current government to prioritize the construction of the bridge. They stress that swift action is needed to prevent further risks and restore safe and affordable transportation for the affected communities.
