Fiifi Banson: Mohammed Polo More Skillful Than Lionel Messi

Veteran broadcaster Fiifi Banson has hailed Ghana football icon Mohammed Polo as a superior dribbler compared to Argentina and Barcelona legend Lionel Messi.

In a conversation on Sporty FM, Banson argued that while Messi has garnered worldwide fame, Polo possessed a higher level of raw skill.

“When it comes to skill, Mohammed Polo was better than Lionel Messi,” Banson stated during the interview.Polo, famously known as the “Dribbling Magician,” is considered one of Ghana’s most technically gifted players. He was a key figure in Ghana’s 1978 Africa Cup of Nations-winning team and shone as a standout left winger for Hearts of Oak in the Ghana Premier League.

Throughout his career, Polo earned numerous individual and team honors, including the 1978 AFCON title and the 1975 Ghanaian Footballer of the Year award.
