Hon. Robbert Yaw Kwakye, the former Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Asante Akyem Central, has urged his successor to prioritize completing the projects that were left unfinished during his tenure, stressing that governance should be seen as a continuous journey. He pointed out that development is a shared responsibility that must extend beyond individual administrations.

Speaking at a thanksgiving service and dinner held to celebrate his successful three-year term as MCE, Hon. Kwakye emphasized the importance of completing various road projects initiated by the previous New Patriotic Party (NPP) government. He called on the National Democratic Congress (NDC) government to settle outstanding payments to contractors, enabling the completion of these vital infrastructure projects.

Hon. Kwakye also took the opportunity to offer advice to the incoming MCE, urging them to foster unity among the people of Asante Akyem Central. He stressed that the focus should be on development and collaboration, rather than party politics or division. He noted that the people of Asante Akyem Central are known for their strong sense of community and mutual respect, and they expect their leaders to prioritize progress over partisan conflicts.

In his message, Kwakye reinforced the idea that leadership should be centered on the collective well-being of the community, and he urged the new MCE to continue building on the foundation of unity and development that the people of Asante Akyem Central value.
