Hearts of Oak’s Benjamin Asare Honoured as Goalkeeper of the Month for May/June

Hearts of Oak’s shot-stopper Benjamin Asare has been honoured as the Goalkeeper of the Month for May/June by the Ex-National Goalkeepers Union (NEGO), in recognition of his outstanding performances in the closing stages of the Ghana Premier League season.
Asare was instrumental in Hearts of Oak’s strong finish, playing a key role in their accumulation of 13 points from a possible 15. The team recorded four wins and one draw during the period, with Asare anchoring the defence through confident displays and vital saves.
The talented goalkeeper kept three clean sheets, including consecutive shutouts against Legon Cities and FC Samartex 1996, conceding just one goal across five matches. His consistency and command in goal earned widespread praise from fans and pundits alike.
In recognition of his achievement, Asare will receive a package from NEGO that includes a pair of professional goalkeeper gloves, a branded towel, a water bottle, and a T-shirt.
This accolade adds to Asare’s growing reputation as one of the league’s most reliable goalkeepers and underscores his importance to the Hearts of Oak squad as they look to build on their late-season form.
