Joseph stated, “The ultimate model of love was set by Christ. This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us, and I’m just explaining that in my song.”

The artist also clarified that the song is not just about romantic love but also a broader reflection of the love everyone can relate to in their personal lives. He added that the song is dedicated to that “special someone” everyone holds dear, further reiterating that the theme of the song is still rooted in his gospel values. Joseph acknowledged that religious communities, especially Christians, can sometimes be quick to judge or reject things they don’t fully understand.
