“Muslim youth should actively participate in community activities and embody positive behavior.”

Shalke Mohhemand Idresu Arthur, the General Imam of the Islamic Youths League of Ghana, has encouraged Muslim youth to engage in positive community activities such as community labor and other initiatives that contribute to local development. He emphasized that the league works to train young Muslims to avoid negative behaviors within their communities, urging them to refrain from involvement in political or post-election violence, and instead to focus on fostering good moral values.
Alhaji OB, the president of the Islamic Youths League of Ghana and Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Ekumfi constituency, also took the opportunity to urge the current administration to adopt all Islamic Senior High Schools across the country. He highlighted the challenges faced by Islamic schools, where many teachers are self-funded through contributions from their own pockets. Alhaji OB called on President John Mahama to consider supporting these institutions. His remarks were made during the 2025 Islamic Youths League event held in Gomoa Akanmu, located in the Gomoa West District.
