The Nungua Traditional Council has called on President John Dramani Mahama and the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Dr. George Akufo Dampare, to intervene in the ongoing land guard attacks at Adjirigarnor.

The council has expressed deep concern about the escalating violence and has urged both the President and IGP to take immediate and decisive action.

In a statement to the media, Numo Afotey Kweledin, a representative of the council, cautioned residents against engaging with land guards and recommended that they pursue legal avenues to resolve land disputes. He also accused certain police officers of complicity in land guard activities and called for their involvement to be thoroughly investigated and stopped.

Additionally, the Nungua Traditional Council has issued a stern warning to Theophilus Teiko Tagoe, demanding that he cease using the council’s name and halt all activities related to demolitions and land guard operations.

This appeal aims to restore peace and stability to the area, ensuring that residents can live without the threat of harassment or violence.
