President Mahama Embarks on Official Visits to Gambia and Senegal

President John Dramani Mahama has arrived in Banjul, The Gambia, for a two-country visit to both The Gambia and Senegal. The visit is primarily intended to thank the Heads of State of these two West African nations for their attendance at the Presidential inauguration ceremony on January 7th, where President Mahama was formally sworn in for his second term.

During his time in The Gambia and Senegal, President Mahama aims to strengthen Ghana’s ties with its neighboring countries, reinforcing the shared commitment to peace, cooperation, and mutual development within the West African region.
