Alex Mould Replaces Michael Asare Bediako as MiDA CEO

In a recent leadership shift, the Millennium Development Authority (MiDA) has appointed Alex Mould as its new Chief Executive Officer, succeeding Michael Asare Bediako.
During his tenure, Mr. Bediako guided MiDA through crucial reforms and spearheaded innovative projects that strengthened its role in Ghana’s economic development. Under his leadership, MiDA transitioned from being a Compact-funded entity to a subvented organization, ensuring its long-term sustainability and its continued importance as a key public service institution.
Mr. Bediako played a key role in launching significant initiatives such as the Economic Enclaves Project (EEP) and the Digital Youth Hub. These programs have positioned MiDA at the forefront of Ghana’s agriculture-led industrialization and digital transformation efforts. Additionally, his work in reinforcing MiDA’s partnership with the Millennium Challenge Corporation has laid the groundwork for potential future agreements aimed at fostering growth through poverty reduction.
As he steps down, Mr. Bediako expressed his gratitude for the support he received during his time at MiDA, noting his confidence in the institution’s continued success under its new leadership.
Newly appointed CEO Alex Mould brings extensive experience from Ghana’s energy and financial sectors. Having previously served as the CEO of the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC) and the National Petroleum Authority (NPA), his appointment by President John Mahama signifies a commitment to building on MiDA’s progress.
Mr. Bediako has already worked closely with Mr. Mould to ensure a smooth transition, ensuring that MiDA’s key initiatives continue uninterrupted. As he moves on to new opportunities in national service, Mr. Bediako remains optimistic about MiDA’s future and its ongoing contribution to Ghana’s development.
With Alex Mould now at the helm, MiDA is poised to continue its mission of economic transformation and sustainable development, benefitting all Ghanaians.
