Electoral Commission Speaks to Ghanaians

The Electoral Commission (EC) is currently in the process of announcing the election results from various constituencies following the completion of vote counting and collation at polling stations and collation centers nationwide. This exercise, which is taking place at the National Collation Centre in Accra, aims to promote transparency and fairness in the electoral process.
Both the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) have held press conferences urging their supporters to remain calm and allow the EC to carry out its work. The NPP has called on its supporters to conduct themselves in a disciplined manner while observing the collation and declaration of results. Meanwhile, the NDC has asked its supporters to stay vigilant and avoid celebrating prematurely as they monitor the progress of the process.
The 2024 elections, which featured 13 presidential candidates and 807 parliamentary candidates, are still being finalized, and the EC is working to ensure that all procedures are followed in a fair and transparent manner.
