Teenager Charged in Shocking UK Dance Class Stabbings Pleads Not Guilty to Murder

A teenager charged with the horrific killings of three young girls and the wounding of 10 other individuals in a stabbing spree at a Taylor Swift-themed dance class in England this summer remained silent in court on Wednesday, as not guilty pleas were entered on his behalf. These riots continued for a week, resulting in more than 300 police officers being injured and widespread destruction. The violence erupted after Rudakubana, whose identity had not yet been revealed, was falsely identified as an asylum seeker who had recently arrived in the UK by boat.

Born in Wales to Rwandan immigrants, Rudakubana’s arrest fueled further division, especially when far-right groups used the false narrative of him being an asylum seeker to stir anger.
