Two young girls, aged 9 and 14, have been accused of stealing Forty Thousand Cedis (40,000) and gold from the Business Gold Agent shop in Twifo Praso, the district capital of Twifo Atti Morkwa in the Central Region.
The incident reportedly occurred on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, around 11:38 AM, coinciding with the market day in the district. The crime came to light thanks to the shop’s CCTV cameras, which captured footage of the young girls entering the shop and taking the money and gold. The footage has provided critical evidence for investigators, confirming the girls’ involvement in the theft.
The authorities are now looking into the matter, with the stolen money and gold yet to be recovered. The girls’ actions have raised concerns within the community, especially given their young ages.
