Traditional Leader Launches Task Force to Combat Land Guard Issues in Ga Communities

To combat the destructive activities of land guards in the Ga State, Nii Ayi Kushie Okropong I, the Joma Ablekuma Divisional Chief (Mantse), has launched a traditional security task force.
This initiative aims to put an end to the disturbances caused by land guards, which have led to property damage, loss of life, and the illegal seizure of lands, including those belonging to security personnel.
During a press briefing, Nii Ayi Kushie Okropong I assured the public that the task force would protect all properties within the community.
He urged landowners and prospective buyers to obtain legitimate documents from the Joma stool Secretariat to avoid land disputes.
In an effort to resolve land-related conflicts, a new office has been established to handle disputes within the Ga-Damgbe community through traditional leaders, reducing reliance on court proceedings.
Nii Ayi Kushie Okropong I further encouraged land buyers to follow proper procedures when purchasing land, to facilitate the task force’s efforts in ensuring peace and security.
