Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, Vice President of Ghana, officially inaugurated the 3rd edition of the Africa Prosperity Dialogues in Accra. This series serves as a platform to foster practical discussions and collaborations aimed at advancing Africa’s single market, particularly through infrastructure development.

In her keynote address, the Vice President commended the African Prosperity Network for organizing the event, which brought together voices from various sectors, including trade, industry, and banking. She highlighted the importance of making Africa’s single market inclusive and representative for its long-term success.

Professor Opoku-Agyemang emphasized that for Africa to realize the dream of a unified market, it is crucial to prioritize infrastructure development, particularly in areas such as road networks and energy. She underscored the Ghanaian government’s commitment to investing in these critical areas, with plans to improve road and railway networks to better connect key economic zones across the country.

The Vice President also called on African leaders to strengthen their partnerships with the private sector to accelerate the development of the continent’s single market. She noted that while progress has been made, much more remains to be done to fully integrate African economies and unlock the continent’s potential.

The 3rd edition of the Africa Prosperity Dialogues, under the theme of infrastructure development, provided a unique opportunity for policymakers, industry leaders, and stakeholders to share ideas and forge collaborations that could drive Africa’s economic growth and integration.
